Job Title: Director of Outreach Ministry

Employment Type: Hourly Contracted Employee starting with 14 hrs/wk with possibility of moving to 40 hrs/wk.

Hourly Wage Range: $18-$24 depending on experience.  Mileage in employee’s vehicle covered.  

Location: Madison, WI

Organization Overview: 

Every Daughter is a faith-based organization of women from churches around Dane County who meet regularly to contact and offer assistance to women who are sexually exploited and trafficked in our community.  Our purpose is to build trust and relationships with the women we meet, offering support and prayer that is free of judgment and reflects the unconditional love of God. We believe in the power of prayer and have a group of volunteers undergirding our work with prayer on a daily basis. We want women to know that someone cares and that we are here to support them, wherever they’re at on their journey. If a woman is interested in information about treatment or local resources in the community, we connect her. If she wants prayer and spiritual support we offer as much or as little as she wishes. If a woman wants to leave her situation, we assist her in problem solving and how to do that. We work in collaboration with many local partners and service providers both secular and faith based.  The ongoing support and care we give includes but is not limited to:

  • Connecting regularly by phone and in person to check in + offer encouragement

  • Identifying treatment options to address substance abuse and mental health needs

  • Referral and assistance in applying for long-term residential recovery programs

  • Assistance in completing housing and employment applications

  • Transportation for important appointments

Position overview:

This role is directly connected to a faith based organization that follows Biblical principles and practices for its overall operational guidance and structure.  As Director of Outreach Ministry (DOM) you will coordinate outreach and aftercare for women we serve. You will facilitate connecting women to service organizations that provide them with resources. The DOM acts as a consultant by supporting and debriefing volunteers. You will oversee development and training of our Outreach team. You will give general oversight to Every Daughter events. Together with the Leaders Team you will represent Every Daughter, our culture and mission to the public.

Job Description:

  • Be available to respond as the first point of contact for women

  • Keep records of interactions with women we serve on a regular basis

  • Use your own personal vehicle for work related travel.  Mileage will be covered

  • Occasional evening and weekend work 

  • Collaborate with Outreach Team volunteers and social service agencies to meet the needs of the women we serve

  • Interview and train new Outreach Team members and take major responsibility to manage the team

  • Meet with the Leader’s team monthly to implement our mission and vision

  • Give oversight to Outreach Team events

  • Pursue public engagement and networking on behalf of Every Daughter

Qualifications Required:

  • Trauma Informed Care Training

  • Strong relational and communication skills to effectively manage others

  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality

  • Maintain a supportive network of relationships to talk through situations and prevent burnout and compassion fatigue

  • Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects

  • Competence or willingness to learn media programs like Slack, Canva, Constant Contact, and Google Workspace

  • Able to be flexible and adapt to crisis situations

  • Able to effectively delegate tasks and train those who are doing them

  • Able to discern the need for input, help, and breaks for rest and recovery

  • Display humility, servant leadership and team building skills

  • Maintain appropriate relational boundaries

Qualifications Desired:

  • Educational and practical experience related to anti-trafficking

  • Familiar with human trafficking and survivor care
